INTRODUCTION TO THE ABOVE COMMUNITIES...

Morning Star Children's Centre is a day care facility for underpriviledged children who are infected with HIV/AIDS. Part of Morning Star's focus lies in assisting with income-generating projects for the local community. One that has become successful and reaped benefits for the community is Tshedisanang Women' s Project. Women infected/affected with AIDS join together and design and produce the most exquisite emboidery and bead-work, examples of which include shopping bags, aprons, cushion covers, tableware, t-shirts (for aduts and children), wall-hangings, jewellery and so much more.

Find out more about the latest happenings and events at Morning Star as they strive towards a better life for women and children infected/affected by HIV/AIDS. Their focus, whilst taking care of the day-to-day activities of looking after and treating the children, is also to work towards longer-lasting solutions that will improve the mindset and living conditions of those living in the poorer communities by giving information on HIV/AIDS and equipping them with skills on how to sustain themselves in the future.

"We wish to share with you our trials and tribulations as we continue to serve the innocent victims of the harshest disease known to mankind, and also to teach them how to protect themselves in the abusive and neglected lives they lead".
